�i 353 <br />Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, proposed the adoption of resolution <br />j <br />approving Memorandum of Agreement for Expenditure of 1/4 Cent Gas Tax Allocated for <br />I <br />State Highways and authorizing the City Manager to sign such agreement on behalf of <br />the City. Carried. <br />The City Manager submitted estimates of the costs for installing neon signs and illuminated <br />i <br />painted signs along the Bayshore Highway and was instructed to get the neon signs. <br />Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, proposed the adoption of resolu- <br />tion accepting Quit Claim Deeds for various lots in Redwood City from Albert P. <br />Groebl and Nora Pearl Groebl; William M. Cashman; Thomas J. Callan and Bridgie Callan. <br />Carried. <br />Councilman Eva was authorized to submit an offer to the County Tax Collector to pay $5 <br />per lot to clear of all county taxes the lots which the City is taking over. Carried. <br />After a discussion concerning the method of handling the costs of acquiring lots and <br />what to do with the proceeds after sales of any of the lots, Councilman Eva, seconded <br />by Councilman Fletcher proposed the adoption of the following resolution: <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the City <br />Treasurer be, and he is hereby authorized to transfer, from the General <br />Improvement Fund of 1937 commonly known as the 1915 Act Investment Fund, <br />the sum of $5,000 to the 1915 REAL ESTATE FUND, which fund is to re- <br />flect the costs of the acquisition and the returns from the sale of <br />property by the City. <br />Carried. The treasurer was also authorized to charge the salary and expenses of <br />Mr. Paul to the Real Estate Account effective as of July 1. It was also decided <br />' that when lots were sold that the purchase price should be paid to the City Treas- <br />urer and that from such receipts he clear the charges on the respective lots with <br />the City Tax Collector. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by <br />Councilman Christensen. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Eva, the meeting was ad- <br />journed to Monday, December 13, at S o'clock P, M. <br />BEM:FAS <br />City Clerk <br />
