1 <br />C <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL ADJOURNM .MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 14, 1933 <br />10:00 A.M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor W. J. Dusel,=,C. J. Hildebrant, <br />R. .N. Jones', C. G. Lambert, Geo. W. McNulty, City Clerk, B. E. Myers. Absent: Councilmen <br />H. A. Beeger and Paul A. McCarthy. <br />The City Manager submitted a written report concerning his investigation of R. E. Bruce at <br />146 Birch Street and recommended that the use of his property as complained of by the <br />adjacent property owners be discontinued as he felt the complaints were justified, after <br />making personal investigation and talking with some of the neighbors. On motion of <br />Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the recommendation was adopted with <br />the understanding that Mr. Bruce rectify the situation. <br />The City Attorney, on motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Lambert, was in— <br />structed to draw up an ordinance similar in conditions to that of the County as applying <br />to tax penalties, and the City Tax Collector was instructed to collect such penalties in <br />accordance with the method in operation in the County office. <br />Dave McCullough, 942 San Mateo Drive, San Mateo, asked permission to string up a "sign across <br />a street. On motion of Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman Jones, permission was <br />granted, provided he obtained consent of the owners of the property affected and arrange <br />to protect the City against any possible expense. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEd:MR <br />P,� <br />City C1 <br />
