Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed the introduction of ordinance granting to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company a franchise for the use and distribution of gas within Redwood City. Councilman Pletcher, seconded by Councilman Eva, proposed the introduction of ordinance granting to the Pacific Cas and Electric Company a franchise for the use and �I distribution of electricity within the city. The Clerk was asked to acknowledge the letter and to assure Mr. Lawrence, the secretary, that the officials and 3 4 citizens of Redwood City would do all they could to cooperate in the plan outlined by him. In a letter to the Council, the City Planning Commission recommended to the Council that M. it grant the request of Mr. Perry Bygdnes for a building permit for a service j station at the easterly side of E1 Camino Real between Wellesley and Claremont, and i; permission was granted on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Pletcher. In another letter to the Council the Planning Commission recommended the granting of a request for building permit by Mr. Schroder and also agreed to the division of Lots { 3, 4, and 5 in Block 1, Oak Knoll Manor, as follows: Lot 3 divided into 2 lots, and Lots 4 and 5 divided into 3 lots. It was so ordered and approved on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen. Reverend William J.
