On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the report was
approved. Following which, Councilman McCarthy suggested that the attorney prepare
the necessary contracts between the city and these architects, but at this point
some discussion ensued concerning extra fees which were requested by the architects,
and as a consequence, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher,
the previous motion was rescinded with Councilman McCarthy voting "No."
At this time the Clerk read a letter from Miller and Warnecke setting forth certain stipula-
tions and agreements to be embodied in their contract. Some of these were not agree-
able to the council members, and as a result, on motion of Councilman McCarthy,
seconded by Councilman Fletcher, the entire matter was recommitted to a committee to
be appointed by the Mayor to work with the library board and submit a revised report.
On this committee Mayor Christensen appointed Councilmen McNulty and Anderson.
Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Jones, proposed resolution designating the Bank
of America National Trust and Savings Association as one of the banks in which city
fund may be kept and authorizing the Mayor and Treasurer of the City to sign warrants
withdrawing funds from any accounts set up in this or any other bank. Carried.
The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Council-
man Fletcher.
Adjournment.
BBM:HAS
8 ,E---.
City Clerk
0
f.
35
