The rates to be charged and collected <br />for water distributed and supplied by the Redwood City Water Department, <br />to consumers OUTSIDE the limits of the City of Redwood City and where <br />EXTRA PUMPING expense is required to provide such service, are hereby <br />fixed as follows: <br />For water delivered, based on monthly readings: <br />(a) For the first 1,000 cubic feet -------40 cents per 100 <br />(b) For the next 2,000 cubic feet --------37 cents per 100 <br />(c) For all above 3,000 cubic feet -------34 cents per 100 <br />Provided, however, that the minimum amount for each month to be charged <br />and collected for service shall be as follows: <br />(a) <br />For <br />5/8 <br />inch <br />meter <br />-------------------------$2.00 <br />(b) <br />For <br />3/4 <br />inch <br />meter <br />------------------------- 2.40 <br />(c) <br />For <br />1 <br />inch <br />meter <br />------------------------- 3.00 <br />(d) <br />For <br />12 <br />inch <br />meter <br />------------------------- 5.00 <br />(e) <br />For <br />2 <br />inch <br />meter <br />---------- 7.50 <br />(f) <br />For <br />3 <br />inch <br />meter <br />-------------------------15.00 <br />(g) <br />For <br />1} <br />inch <br />meter <br />-------------------------25.00 <br />(h) <br />For <br />6 <br />inch <br />meter <br />-------------------------45.00 <br />A discount of ten (10) per cent will be allowed on all bills paid on or <br />before the 15th of the month following the month during which said service <br />has been rendered.° <br />Question arose as to the desirability of continuing the 1915 Act Committee and also <br />whether or not the Council should appoint such a committee. The City Manager in- <br />dicatecl that it was his opinion and desire that this committee should be appointed <br />by him and function with him and that he proposed the names of Mayor Christensen <br />and Councilman McCarthy to serve on such a committee. On motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Council went on record as agreeing <br />with this proposal of the City Manager, approved the committee selected by him, <br />and gave the members of the committee the same authority as the previous committee had. <br />The City Manager also, for purposes of adjusting; complaints in the Water Department, <br />appointed a committee to work with him, as follows: Mayor Christensen and Councilman <br />McNulty. <br />In order to continue the consideration of civil service and retirement for municipal <br />employees, Mayor Christensen appointed for this purpose the following committee: <br />Councilmen McCarthy, Fletcher, and Anderson. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Council- <br />man Anderson. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM: HAS <br />City Clerk <br />0 <br />D <br />L <br />V <br />N <br />
