<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR' ADJOURNED'MEETING

<br />Upon roll call the following Councilmen were present: Councilmen- H. F. Anderson,
<br />E. A. Fletcher, Wm. Rohn, Paul A. McCarthy, and City Clerk B. E. Myers; absent,
<br />Mayor L. C. Christensen, Councilmen Robert N. Jones and Geo. W. McNulty.
<br />In the absence of Mayor Christensen, on motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by
<br />Councilman Fletcher, Councilman McCarthy was chosen to serve as chairman.
<br />There being no protests filed, on motion,of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Council-
<br />man Fletcher, there was ordered filed affidavits of Publication of Resolution

<br />of Intention No. 1939-4 and also affidavit of Posting Notices of Improvement.

<br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded.by Councilman Anderson, proposed adoption of the
<br />following Resolution. Carried.
<br />I� "RESOLUTION ORDERING THE woo N0. 3,939-4"
<br />' "RESOLVED; THAT WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood. City did,,
<br />i on tha 19th dar of'July, 1939; pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No.
<br />1939=4 to order the hereinafter described work to be done and improvements
<br />to be made in said City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, notices -of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No:
<br />1939-4, headed "NOTICE OF*IMPROVEMENT"s were duly and regularly posted
<br />along the line of said contemplated work, and improvements and"in•front
<br />of all.the property liable to be assessed therefor, and on all ''of, the.'
<br />li streets in the district to be assessed therefor, in time, forms manner,..
<br />and number as required by law; as appears from the affidavits of`C. L.
<br />Dimroitt, Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood°CI:ty, and Lisle-
<br />Winter, and now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City; and
<br />'WHEREAS, it appears from the affidavit of Vera M. Clements, that saidc
<br />Resolution of -Intention No. 1939-4 was -duly and regularly published,as re-
<br />quire& -by law and order -of the Council of the City of Redwood•City in the=
<br />Redwood. -City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newspaper; published, printed
<br />F and circulated in the said City of Redwood City; and
<br />41HMMS, in and by said Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4=and the -
<br />notices -of the passage -thereof posted as aforesaid, said Council of.the•-
<br />City of Redwood City fixed Monday, the 9th day of August, 1939, at the,
<br />hour of 10:00 o'clock A. M. of said day, at the meeting place of said
<br />Council, in the Council Chamber in the Firehouse on Middlefield Road in
<br />said City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, as
<br />the day, hour and place when and where any and all persona having any,
<br />objections to the proposed work and improvements described in said Resolu-
<br />tion of Intention No. 1939-4, or to the grades at which said work and im-
<br />provements are to be done, or to the district proposed to be assessed for
<br />said work and improvements, could appear before said Council and show
<br />cause why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried out
<br />in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. 19394, or why said
<br />proposed•work and improvements should not be carried out and done at the
<br />proposed grades as shown on the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and
<br />specifications referred to in said Resolution of Intention No. 1938;4
<br />and now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place aforesaid, when and where anyand
<br />all persons having any objeetions.to the proposed work and improvements.
<br />described..in.said Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4, or, having any, ob-
<br />jections to the.district to be assessed therefor, or having any objections
<br />to the proposed grades at .which said work and improvements are to be done
<br />and made, could appear before the Council of said City of Redwood City and
<br />show cause why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried
<br />out in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4, or why said
<br />proposed work and -improvement's should not be carried out, and done at the
<br />proposed grades as -shown on the plane, profiles, detailed drawings.and..
<br />specifications.referred'to in said Resolution of Intention No. 1939 -4 -and -
<br />now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City, no
<br />person or persons appeared and no objections of any kind were made against
