<br />lie is hereby ordered:to prepare plans, profiles, detailed drawings', specifica+
<br />tions, map or plat of proposed assessment district and estimates for4ding-the,-
<br />following work -and making the following improvements in said City 'of Redwood
<br />City, to -wit:
<br />That Quartz Street, from the end 'of the existing cement concrete -pavement%
<br />near the°northerly line of St. Francis Avenue to Avenue del Ora, including �.
<br />the intersection of -Quartz Street and Avenue del Ora; and Avenue del ~Ora from-.
<br />the'end Lof the existing cement concrete pavement near the 'production. northerly
<br />of the westerly, line of South Place across said Avenue del'Ora to the;existing-
<br />cemenVeoncretelpavement'near the southeasterly line of James Avem w including.
<br />the intersection of Avenue del Ora and Quartz Street, be improved as follows,
<br />to -wit:.
<br />That the Street and Avenue hereinbefore'mentioned and'intersections,
<br />thereof:be graded'for their full wicith-and for the lengths' mentioned hsreia
<br />and described-; and by haviag'constructed on both sides of said Street, -and,.
<br />Avemie .and around. the park within the intersection of, said Quartz, Street-ancl':
<br />Avenue del Ora, combined cement concrete curbs and $!otters, and by construct:
<br />Ing between said combined curbs and gutters a four (4")'inch stabilized slurry -
<br />base pavement with a one (1") inch asphaltic armor coat wearing surface."
<br />The City Engineer submitted plans and specifications called for. Following this,
<br />Councilman Hohn, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, proposed adoption of the follow -
<br />Ing Resolution. Carried.

<br />tions for doing -the following work and making the following improvements in the
<br />City of Redwood City, to -wit:
<br />That Quartz Street from the end of the existing,cement--concreter pavement
<br />near^the northerly line of St. Francis Avenue to Avenue del Ora, including.thw
<br />intersection of Quartz Street and Avemxe del Ora: and Avenue del Ora from -the"
<br />end of.the,existing cement -concrete pavement near the production northerly of

<br />base pavement with a one (1") inch asphaltic armor coat wearing surface, as
<br />prepared by C.. L. Dimmitt, City Engineer'of said City of Redwood .City and
<br />submitted this.Sth day,of August,. 1939, be and the same are hereby adopted _
<br />as and..for.the plans., profiles, detailed drawings and specifications for
<br />said work and improvements described herein.
<br />AND WHEREAS, said City Engineer has submitted and filed with said: plans;
<br />profiles, detailed drawings and specifications a map or plat showing the
<br />assessment district of lands benefited by the work and improvements herein, .
<br />describedy.'whi.ch' map or plat is entitled "Map Showing Assessment District
<br />under Resolution of Intention No. 1938-5";
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
<br />Redwood -City that the•map or plat showing the assessment district benefited -
<br />by the -work and improvements herein described, which map or plat is entitled
<br />"Map Showing Assessment District Under Resolution of Intention No. 1939-5"
<br />be and the same is hereby adopted and approved and said Council does hereby
