MINUTES OF REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING

<br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilman E. A. Fletcher, Wm. Hohn,

<br />R. N. Jones, P. A. McCarthy, and City Clerk B. E. Myers; absent, Mayor L. C.
<br />Christensen, G. W. McNulty, and H. F. Anderson.

<br />In the absence of Mayor Christensen, Councilman Jones was chosen to serve as Mayor
<br />Pro Tem for this meeting on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Council-
<br />man Fletcher.
<br />There was received and ordered filed resolution of the Board of Port Commissioners
<br />requesting the City to sell $50,000 principal amount of City of Redwood City
<br />Harbor Improvement Bonds of 1936.
<br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, proposed the adoption of the
<br />following resolution: Carried.
<br />°AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SALE OF $50,000
<br />PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF CITY -OF REDWOOD CITY HAR-
<br />BOR IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF 1936, SERIES "B"
<br />I
<br />"WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has heretofore duly authorized
<br />the issuance of$266,000 principal amount of City of Redwood City Harbor
<br />Improvement Bonds of 1936, divided into two series designated "Series All
<br />and "Series B" respectively, aggregating in principal amount $200,000
<br />I and $66,000, respectively; and
<br />s WHEREAS, it is desirable that $50,000 principal amount of the Series
<br />B bonds of said City of Redwood City Harbor Improvement Bonds of 1936 be
<br />offered for sale at this time,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood
<br />City, California, as follows:
<br />Section l,f That $50,000 principal amount of City of Redwood City
<br />Harbor Improvement Bonds of 1936, Series B, being bonds numbered 8-17 to
<br />3-66, both inclusive, be offered for sale and sold to the highest and best
<br />y bidder at not less than their par value and accrued interest to date of
<br />( delivery, - such interest to be fixed in accordance with the bid of the
<br />E successflzl bidder.

<br />Section 2. That the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby,
<br />authorized and directed to cause notice of the sale of said bonds to be
<br />mailed to such investment banking firms, banks and trust companies as, in
<br />his judgment, he deems may be interested in the purchase of such bonds,
<br />and that such notice shall be substantially in the following form, to wit:

<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the City
<br />Council of the City of Redwood City, at its usual meeting place, in the
<br />Council Chambers, City Hall, in the City of Redwood City, California, until
<br />8 o'clock, P. M., of Monday, the 19th day of September, 1938, for the pur-
<br />chase of $50,000 principal amount of City of Redwood City Harbor Improve-
<br />ment Bonds of 1936, at which time said bids will be publicly opened. Said
<br />bonds constitute part of an authorized issue of bonds of said City, known
<br />43.1
