i <br />1 <br />L <br />After filing affidavit of publication of Resolution of Intention No. 1938-5 and <br />affidavits of posting Notices of Improvement by C. L. Dimmitt, Street Super- <br />intendent, and Lisle Winter, hearing was had on the proposed project. There <br />was read protests from R. W. Perkins, 464 Clinton Street, and Myrtle and <br />Lawrence Krieger, owners of Lot 11 in Block 5, New High School Acres. The <br />protestants were also present and spoke before the Council. Several of the <br />property owners who wished the work done were also present and urged the <br />Council to proceed. After considerable discussion, the City Attorney questioned <br />the Street Superintendent as to whether or not he was familiar with the layout <br />of the streets and lots in the district proposed and whether or not he knew <br />definitely that the area made up of the property owned by the protestants was <br />less than one-half of the total area of the district. The Street Superintendent <br />replied that he was familiar with the location and that definitely the property <br />of the protestants did not comprise one-half of the area of the district.
