X60- D work hereinbefore described be and the same is hereby awarded to the MILLER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY at the price submitted in their bid on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City; provided, however, that this award is made subject to the approval of the bid of the said Miller Con- struction Company by the Federal Emergency Administration of Pablic Works. Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 17th day of October, 1939, by the following vote: Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing reso- lution, Councilmen, H. In line with this request, the hearing on this abatement proceeding was continued on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, to November 7 at 9 P.M. Stanton Mullen, 549 Whipple Avenue, appeared to ask permission of the Council to continue construction of his new dwelling. He had been living in a large garage building as temporary structure.
