474 <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a <br />regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of November, 1939, by the <br />following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the foregoing resolution, Councilmen, H. F. Anderson, <br />E. A. Fletcher, Wm. Hohn, R. N. Jones, P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, <br />L. C. Christensen. <br />Noes and against the foregoing resolution, Councilmen, None. <br />Absent, Councilmen, None. <br />L. C. Christensen <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Attest: <br />B. E. Myers <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />I hereby approve the foregoing resolution this 7th day of November, 1939- <br />L. C. Christensen <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Carried. <br />After reading a discussion and a request by the League of California Municipalities <br />for additional contribution by the City of Redwood City, Councilman McCarthy, <br />seconded by Councilman Anderson, proposed that the City make its share for <br />1939 $200 instead of the $150 as at present with the further understanding <br />that if all cities in the same grade should pay the requested $225 that <br />Redwood City would also pay. Carried. <br />Councilman Fletcher spoke of narking difficulties on the south side of Brewster <br />Avenue between Arch Street and Arguello Boulevard. He finally proposed that <br />the City Attorney be instructed to draw an ordinance limiting parking in <br />that area to one hour. His motion was seconded by Councilman McNulty, but <br />on vote was lost. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered Paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />by Councilman Hohn. <br />Adjournment. <br />'A,6.7UIVJ <br />City Clerk <br />I� <br />
