In connection with the $2,850 judgment, the result of the suit involving the City of Redwood City
<br />and W. H. Thorpe, the City Attorney presented an agreement between Eugenie Ruellan and
<br />Alfred Ruellan, her husband, and the City of Redwood City, covering special settlement, and

<br />the Council, on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Lambert, approved the
<br />contract and authorized the Manager to execute the same. In connection with the settlement
<br />of this case, Andrew Jacobsen, driver of the Ford automobile damaged in the accident, asked
<br />the Council to pay him for certain damage to his car and for doctor bills, etc., a total of
<br />$49.95• On motion of Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Attorney was
<br />authorized to draw up the proper release and agree to pay said Andrew Jacobsen the amount of
<br />' his claim. The attorney was further instructed, in connection with the settlement of these
<br />claims, to present to the Insurance Company concerned, the claim of the City for the amouht

<br />On motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Lambert, and carried, it was agreed that
<br />whatever extra street work or improvements are required when Hudson Street is improved
<br />occasioned by the rounding of the corner of the Gerwin property, being Lot 1 in Block D,
<br />Oak Villa Homestead Tract, will be paid by the City.
