{ <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Jones. <br />Adjournment. <br />BE4R:MR <br />City ClerkTf <br />MINUTESS OF REGULAR MEETING <br />R=OOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 15, 193+ <br />Upon roll call, the .following Councilmen were present: Mayor, W. Dusel, H. A. Beeger, <br />C. J.. Hildebrant, R. N. Jones, C_. G. Lambert, Paul A. McCarthy, Geo. R. McNulty. City <br />Clerk, B. E. Myers. _Absent: None. <br />The minutes of the meeting of January 2 were approved on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />by Councilman Beeger. <br />On motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Lambert, the Mayor and City Clerk were <br />authorized to execute a "Cultivation Lease" with the Southern Pacific Company for a small <br />strip of its property along El Camino Real. <br />Mr. Theron J. Seitz, representing the Knights of Prythiae, appeared to ask the Council for <br />permission to erect a sign sear the corner of Whipple Avenue and E1 Camino Real on the <br />property of Mr. Hohn. On motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Jones, per— <br />mission was granted. <br />On motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, and unanimously carried., <br />resolutions were adopted accepting Easements executed by the following: <br />A. R. and Mary A. Pike <br />Dora L. Floyd <br />Lenolt Securities Corporation and Mary Hvonann <br />Bertha Hagarty <br />E. and Elizabeth 9lttori <br />On motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, resolution was adopted <br />accepting Deed from Floyd L. Baird and Grace M. Baird, his wife. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, resolution was adopted <br />accepting a Deed made by Carl and Margaret Muller, Daniel P and Helena Flynn and Henry D. <br />McGarvey. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the City Manager, on behalf <br />of the City of Redwood City, was authorized to execute an assignment in favor of Eugenie <br />and Alfred Ruellan of the cityla rights or claims against the Public Indemnity Company <br />and/or the International Re—Insurance Corporation by reason of an accident on February 26, <br />1933. (Note: See agreement between parties on file With Clerk, also Formal Release.) <br />Councilman McCartkV spoke about the desirability of having Redwood City buildings checked to <br />ascertain their condition as to earthquake risks.
