56 <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, San Mateo County <br />Route 2. Through Redwood City. 2.42 Miles <br />Beginning at the northerly city limits of Redwood City on State Highway <br />Route 2, thence southerly over E1 Camino Real to the southerly city limits on <br />State Highway Route 2, a distance of 2.42 miles, more or less, within the corporate t <br />limits of Redwood City; <br />Route 69. Through Redwood City. 1.50 Miles <br />Beginning at the northerly city limits of Redwo6d City on State Highway <br />Route 68, thence southerly over Bay Shore Highway (Water Street) to the south— <br />easterly city limits on State Highway Route 68, a distance of 1.50 miles, more or <br />less, within the corporate city limits of Redwood City; <br />which said streets are existing travelable streets in the City of Redwood City, and <br />approximately on the route of the authorized State highways, and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the California Highway Commission <br />have requested the City of Redwood City to approve the routing hereinbefore described <br />and to agree to resume jurisdiction over said city streets, or portions thereof, as <br />may not be included in the State highways, when the same are laid out, adopted, and <br />constructed, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of'the City of Redwood City, acting on <br />behalf of said city, that said city approve, and it does hereby approve, the routing <br />of said State highways; and that upon the relinquishment of said streets, or any <br />portion thereof, to the City of Redwood City in the manner provided by law, said city <br />agrees, and does hereby agree, to resume jurisdiction over said streets, or portion <br />thereof, so_relinquished. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the council of the City of Redwood City that <br />this resolution is passed with theunderstanding that neither the Director of Public <br />Works nor the California Highway Commission will remove, or order the removal of, the <br />present automatic stop signs now in operation upon E1 Camino Real within the limits of <br />the City of Redwood City. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the council of the City of Redwood City that <br />thiel resolution is passed with the further understanding that neither the Director <br />of Public Works nor the California Highway Commission will order the removal of, or <br />remove, any of the underground facilities now owned and operated by said City of Red— <br />wood City in E1 Camino Real within the limits of said city. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that <br />this resolution is passed with the understanding that the City of Redwood City has <br />no surface jurisdiction over the center twenty four feet of E1 Camino Real between <br />the northwesterly limit of said city and the Woodside Road, said jurisdiction having <br />been turned over to the County of San Mateo by the City of Redwood City some years ago <br />for the purpose of permitting said county to construct and maintain a paved roadway <br />(hereon. <br />i <br />
