RESOLVED that the said offer of the Emerald Lake Water Company be and is <br />hereby accepted, provided, <br />brance, <br />1. That title to said properties be found clear and free from all encum- <br />2. That the Emerald Lake Water Company furnish to the City of Redwood City <br />sufficient right-of-way for its main transmission lines, about a mile in length, <br />3. That the Emerald Lake Water Company furnish to the City of Redwood City <br />an appropriate site, not exceeding two acres, for a permanent reservoir, <br />4. That the Emerald Lake Water Company assign to the City of Redwood City . <br />any and all contracts for water now held by them, <br />5. That pending the consummation of the transaction the Emerald Lake Water <br />Company turn over to the City of Redwood City for collection all Accounts Receivable <br />and that such receipts be applicable to the operating of said utility and to the balance <br />due on account to the City of Redwood City. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that appropriate application be made to the Railroad <br />Commission of the State of California for authority to transfer and receive said properties <br />of the Emerald Lake Water Company together with all contracts for water. <br />The foregoing Resolution was duly passed and adopted by the Council of the City <br />of Redwood City on the 23d day of January, 1933 by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the adoption of the Resolution: Councilmen, H. A. Beeger, <br />C. J. Hildebrant, R. N. Jones, C. G. Lambert, P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, W. J. Dusel. <br />Noes and against the adoption of the Resolution: Councilmen, None. <br />Absent: Councilmen, None. <br />WILLIAM J. DUSEL <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Attest: <br />B E. DUSEL <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, offered the following Resolution which <br />was unanimously carried. <br />PROPOSAL TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Redwood City, of its own motion <br />and suggestion, proposes that the charter of the City of Redwood City be amended as <br />follows, to -wit: <br />That Subdivision 12 of Section 3 of the charter of the City of Redwood <br />City be amended to read as follows, to -wit: <br />Section 3 --Subdivision 12.
