Menifee addressing the Council said he was representing E1 Camino Real property owners <br />and that he understood there was to be some sort of a meeting to take up the question of widen— <br />ing the highway. The matter seemed to be quite indefinite, but on motion of Councilman Jones, <br />seconded by Councilman Eva, it was decided to send a delegate to Sacramento when such a meeting <br />should be called. <br />R. E. Savage addressed the Council further concerning his previous statements and wanted it under— <br />stood that he was not urging specifically only tennis but the development of all recreational <br />facilities. Mr. Rolison, commenting, said that he and the City Engineer were already getting <br />details for tennis courts on Mezes Plaza. <br />The City Manager asked the Council if there would be any objection to his arranging exchange of the <br />police Chrysler for a new Ford as set up in the budget without waiting until the budget had <br />been approved. No objection was voiced. <br />•4 <br />The City Attorney made oral report concerning the question of licensing small trucks and spoke of <br />South San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo and Burlingame and their methods of dealing with <br />this question. He stated his opinion as being best to make a specific charge for the smaller <br />tracks. <br />The City Treasurer asked for information concerning the 1915 Bond Act situation and following <br />the discussion, on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, the <br />City Attorney was instructed to draw up the necessary papers for a bond election to secure <br />the necessary funds to clear up 1915 delinquencies. <br />On motion of Councilman Eva, sbconded by Councilman McNulty, Councilman Jones was given permission <br />to leave the state. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Jones. <br />Adjournment. <br />City Clerk <br />BEM:MR <br />
