J. Dusel, H. A. Beeger, R. N. <br />Jones, C. J. Hildebrant, C. G. Lambert, Paul A. McCarthy, Geo. W. McNulty. Absent: City <br />Clerk B. E. Myers. <br />In the absence of the City Clerk, Councilman H. A. Beeger was appointed Clerk, protem, on motion <br />of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. <br />Following discussion, Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman McNulty, offered the following <br />resolution, which was unanimously carried. <br />RESOLVED that consideration of general convenience and <br />advantage of Redwood City and its citizens will be best served <br />by the selection of the Treasury Department of the United States <br />as a site for a Post Office, of a location easterly of the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad main line and that preference be given to the North <br />East corner of Broadway and Main Street, and second preference be <br />given to Jefferson Street site adjoining the Civic Center. <br />H.
