120 general municipal election as by law and this resolution provided, and to canvass the votes to be given and cast at said general municipal election and to make and deliver returns thereof to the Council of the City of Redwood City. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Redwood City shall meet at their regular place of meeting_in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City of Redwood City -at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P. M. on the Monday following the day of said general municipal election to canvass said returns and declare the result of said general municipal election. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that at said general municipal election to beheld on the said 9th day of April, 1940, in the City of Redwood City, the polls shall be opened at 6:00 o'clock in the morning of the day of said general municipal election and shall remain open until 7:00 o'clock of the evening of said day, when the polls'shallbe closed. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that all acts and things required by law or ordinance or this resolution, to be done by any officer of said City of Red- wood City for the purpose of holding said general municipal election in said City on the 9th day of April, 1940) be and the same shall be done and all officers of the City of Redwood City having any duty to perform under the laws of the State of California, or ordinances of said City of Redwood City, or this resolution, in reference to . said general municipal election hereinbefore referred to, are directed to. -perform such duties in time, form and manner, as required by such laws, ordinances or resolution." The City Manager submitted the following list of lots possessed by the City with sale prices recommended by the Committee. Further checking and verification of title was required, but authority to advertise was asked when this work had been completed rather than delay until the next council meeting. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the City Manager was so instructed. "WHEREAS the City of Redwood City has become the owner of the real property hereinafter described which was sold for taxes and the deeds to said city covering said real property have been recorded, and WHEREAS in the judgment of the Council of the City of Red- wood City, said Council deems it advisable that such property, and each and all of the various pieces thereof, be sold and the sale of the same is hereby authorized. And said Council further determines that the minimum amount for which each of said parcels of land shall be sold is the amount set opposite the description of each of the parcels hereinafter set forth and said Council does hereby fix said various separate amounts as the separate minimum amounts for which each piece of property must be sold.
