120 <br />general municipal election as by law and this resolution provided, <br />and to canvass the votes to be given and cast at said general <br />municipal election and to make and deliver returns thereof to the <br />Council of the City of Redwood City. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City <br />of Redwood City shall meet at their regular place of meeting_in the <br />City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City of Redwood City -at the <br />hour of 5:00 o'clock P. M. on the Monday following the day of said <br />general municipal election to canvass said returns and declare the <br />result of said general municipal election. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Redwood City that at said general municipal election to beheld on <br />the said 9th day of April, 1940, in the City of Redwood City, the <br />polls shall be opened at 6:00 o'clock in the morning of the day <br />of said general municipal election and shall remain open until <br />7:00 o'clock of the evening of said day, when the polls'shallbe <br />closed. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Redwood City that all acts and things required by law or ordinance <br />or this resolution, to be done by any officer of said City of Red- <br />wood City for the purpose of holding said general municipal election <br />in said City on the 9th day of April, 1940) be and the same shall <br />be done and all officers of the City of Redwood City having any duty <br />to perform under the laws of the State of California, or ordinances <br />of said City of Redwood City, or this resolution, in reference to . <br />said general municipal election hereinbefore referred to, are directed <br />to. -perform such duties in time, form and manner, as required by such <br />laws, ordinances or resolution." <br />The City Manager submitted the following list of lots possessed by the City <br />with sale prices recommended by the Committee. Further checking and <br />verification of title was required, but authority to advertise was <br />asked when this work had been completed rather than delay until the <br />next council meeting. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by <br />Councilman Anderson, the City Manager was so instructed. <br />"WHEREAS the City of Redwood City has become the owner of <br />the real property hereinafter described which was sold for taxes and <br />the deeds to said city covering said real property have been recorded, <br />and <br />WHEREAS in the judgment of the Council of the City of Red- <br />wood City, said Council deems it advisable that such property, and <br />each and all of the various pieces thereof, be sold and the sale of <br />the same is hereby authorized. <br />And said Council further determines that the minimum amount <br />for which each of said parcels of land shall be sold is the amount set <br />opposite the description of each of the parcels hereinafter set forth <br />and said Council does hereby fix said various separate amounts as the <br />separate minimum amounts for which each piece of property must be <br />sold. <br />The property hereinabove referred to, together with the <br />minimum amounts for which each must be sold is described and set forth <br />as follows: <br />i <br />
