'122 <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 19, 1940 <br />8:00 P. M. <br />Upon roll call the following councilmen were present <br />H. F. Anderson, <br />E.A. Fletcher, Wm. Hohn, R.N. Jones, P.A. McCarthy, G.W. McNulty, <br />Mayor L.C. Christensen, and City Clerk B. E. Myers. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of February 5 were approved on motion of <br />Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />David Holder, represented by R. G. Schroeder, was given permit to subdivide <br />the Northwest 1/2 of Lot 13, Block 10, Oak Knoll Manor, into two lots <br />42.61 feet by 220.15 feet, on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded <br />by Councilman Anderson, the subdivision having been approved and recom- <br />mended by the City Planning Commission. <br />It was decided, on reconsideration, not to grant permission to erect two <br />houses on lot at 266 Hillview as requested at a previous meeting by <br />C. G. Lambert. <br />The Community Chest was given permission to use the Council Chambers for a <br />public meeting at S P. M. on March 7, 1940. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Jones, the City <br />Treasurer was authorized to pay the County Tax Collector $623, payment <br />of taxes on the lots indicated below, plus a publication cost of $138. <br />The Treasurer was also authorized, in the same motion,. to transfer <br />$1,000 from the Investment Fund to the Real Estate Fund. <br />The City Tax Collector submitted the following letter: <br />f'On January 13, 1940, City Manager C. L. Dimmitt <br />recommended that the sum of Six hundred twenty-one <br />dollars and seventy-eight cents ($621.78) be accepted <br />in settlement of the charges on the following property <br />instead of Eight Hundred thirteen dollars and twenty- <br />two cents ($813.22) actually due if the total amount <br />was paid in full. <br />The property referred to is Arb. Blk. 139, Lot 10 <br />or legal description Blk. 13, Lots 1-2-3, Central Park <br />assessed in name of S.
