Wanish was given restaurant license for 701 E1 Camino Real on motion <br />of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />The Cuddy Motor Company at 334 E1 Camino Real, was denied permit to operate <br />the used car sales lot at the corner of James Street and E1 Camino Real. <br />Arthur D. Janssen of Redwood City presented letter requesting payment of $25 <br />advanced by him for a perspective sketch of the Exposition Model Home <br />used in publicity in connection with that project. The bill was approved <br />for payment on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />There were read two letters from the Lions Club having to do with the planting <br />of trees and shrubs for beautification of certain parts of Redwood City. <br />The Clerk was asked to thank the members of the club for their public <br />spirit, and the letters were referred to the City Manager and the Recrea- <br />tion Commission. <br />Mr. B. W. McCann appeared before the Council to suggest the erection of a band- <br />stand in California Square. The matter was referred,to the City Manager. <br />The City Manager submitted a map of Tract No. 523, being a subdivision of a <br />portion of the•Horgan Ranch along the east side of the Woodside Road south <br />of the Lee Tract, on a certain portion of which the City has an easement <br />for pipe lines over a portion of Lot 6 in this subdivision. On motion of <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Mayor and the <br />Clerk were authorized to sign the map. <br />Mayor Christensen, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Fletcher, was given permission to leave the State. <br />W. H. Morrissey of Redwood City addressed a letter to the Council and also <br />made a personal appearance in connection with the clearance of some 59 <br />lots in the Lenolt Tract, proposing to pay the taxes, but asking that <br />the penalties be waived. The matter was referred to the Real Estate Com- <br />mission with the idea that some arrangement could be agreed upon, to be <br />ratified later by the Council at the next meeting. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM:HAS <br />0 <br />t.
