26: <br />The City Manager reported concerning the paving of certain portion of <br />Lexington Avenue, indicating the responses received, and not re- <br />ceived, about the willingness of the property owners to accept the <br />estimated assessments. He said, of the estimated 1,062 feet of <br />assessable frontage, that 546 feet had reported favorably. On motion <br />of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, the City <br />Manager was instructed to start the necessary proceedings to pave <br />Lexington Avenue between Arch and Clinton Streets. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, ordinance <br />was introduced setting up new licensing regulations with Mayor <br />Christensen voting °NoII <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, moved the introduc- <br />tion of billboard ordinance. Carried. <br />There was read a letter from Charles C. Gans, Director of the County Depart- <br />ment of Public Health and Welfare, indicating that at the first Council <br />meeting of the month someone from his department would be present to <br />report to his office any matters needing the attention of his depart- <br />ment. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment. <br />BE14: HAS <br />C <br />City Clerk - <br />
