<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
<br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL
<br />MAY 6, 1940
<br />8:00 P. M.
<br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: L. C. Christensen,_
<br />H. W. Edmonds, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor H. F.
<br />Anderson, and City Clerk B. E. Myers; absent, Councilman E. A. Fletcher.
<br />The minutes of the regular meeting of April 15 were approved on motion of
<br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen.
<br />A petition was submitted, and ordered filed, in which the petitioners asked
<br />that the present sign on El Camino Real be placed at some other appropriate
<br />outlet to the Bayshore Highway and that a new sign be purchased and placed
<br />at the intersection of Broadway and El Camino Real.
<br />Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Granger, proposed adoption of
<br />resolution accepting Quit Claim deeds as indicated below. Carried.
<br />1) Moxey Realty Co., a corporation, Lot 8, Block 41, Map No. 2 of
<br />Central Park°
<br />2) Helen N. Long and Emil J. Long, her husband, Lot 1, Block 1, Resub.
<br />of Lot 2, Wooster Whitton & Montgomery;
<br />3) Newman D. Lee and Margaret M. Lee, his wife, Lot 5, Block 10,
<br />Range °D", Mezesville,
<br />4) Cora B. Kruse, Lots 31, 32 and 33, Block 14, Map No. 2 of Central
<br />Park Addition and Lots 2 and 9, Block 7, and Lot 1, Block 10, Lenolt.
<br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Werder, proposed adoption of resolu-
<br />tion as follows: Carried.
<br />"RESOLVED, THAT WHEREAS the City of Redwood City has become the owner
<br />of the real property hereinafter described which was sold for taxes and
<br />the deed to said City covering said real property has been recorded, and
<br />WHEREAS in the judgment of the Council of the City of Redwood City,
<br />said Council deems it advisable that such property, and each and all of
<br />the various pieces thereof, be sold and the sale of the same is hereby
<br />authorized,
<br />AND SAID COUNCIL FURTHER DETERMINES that the minimum amount for
<br />which each of said parcels of land shall be sold is the amount set
<br />opposite the description of each of said parcels hereinafter set forth
<br />and said Council does hereby fix said various and separate amounts as the
<br />separate minimum amounts for which each piece of property must be sold.
<br />The property hereinabove referred to, together with the minimum
<br />amounts for which each must be sold is described and set forth as follows:
<br />Lot 5, Block 1, Wallace Subdivision, except southerly 10 feet
<br />Lot 6, Block 1, Wallace Subdivision, except southerly 10 feet
<br />Portion of Lot 13,,Block 1, Wallace Subdivision, except south-
<br />erly 10 feet
<br />Portion of Lot 14, Block 1, Wallace Subdivision, except south-
<br />erly 10 feet
<br />Portion of Lot 15, Block 1, Wallace Subdivision, except south-
<br />erly 10 feet
