i <br />In a letter to the council, the chairman of the Merchants Committee of the <br />Chamber of Commerce asked that the Council extend the time for consider- <br />ation of the proposed business license ordinance and asked that a com- <br />mittee be appointed from among the councilmen to work with a committee <br />representing the Chamber of Commerce. On motion of Councilman Christensen, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher, it was decided accordingly with instruc- <br />tions to the Mayor to appoint such committee. Councilmen Fletcher (Chair- <br />man), Werder, and Christensen appointed. <br />Mr. Albert Palmtag appeared before the council to ask help in getting straight- <br />ened out concerning his effort to buy two lots from the city. As there <br />seemed to be considerable confusion and some misunderstanding on the part <br />of different people, the matter was referred to the City Manager with <br />instructions to clear it up as soon as possible. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, Councilman <br />Werder was given permission to leave the state. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM: HAS <br />4. e. 7K-.,, P_� <br />City Clerk <br />l p <br />
