16 Councilman Anderson, the City Manager was instructed to arrange to let Mr. Nelson have these lots provided he increase his proposal to the minimum figure. Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson, proposed that the attorney be instructed to draw up an ordinance amending any present ordinances the city may have respecting the number of dogs to be allowed at one location. Fletcher, R. N. Jones, P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, Mayor L. C. Christensen, and City Clerk B. E. Myers; absent, Councilman Wm. Hohn. The minutes of the meeting of February 6 and adjourned meeting of February 14 were approved on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, permission was granted to Mr. G. Puga of 1826 Middlefield Road to construct an Associated service station at the northwesterly corner of El Camino Real and Center St. Mr. Doxsee'requested permission to erect 61 x 10t signs on Bayshore Highway north o£ Brewster Street on the Tacoma Mill property and on El Camino Real at Avondale Avenue on the property of Mr. Doxsee. Permission was granted, revocable at the pleasure of the Council, provided that the property owners' permission were obtained, that the sign did not conflict with the recent real estate sign ordinance, and that it be placed on the particular site under the supervision of the City Manager. Application of William J. Scott, 548 E1 Camino Real, San Carlos, for plumber's license was received and granted on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, provided the bond promised by Merritt R. Hosmer of San Carlos, repre- senting the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company, were delivered within 5 days. (NOTE: It was. B.E.M.) 1
