1-68 <br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen, proposed the adop- <br />tion of the following resolutions: Carried. <br />'RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that in con- <br />formity with Chapter 397 of the Statutes of 1931 of the State of Cal- <br />ifornia, with amendments thereto and other laws, that the minimum com- <br />pensation to be paid for any skilled or unskilled labor work to be per- <br />formed in the improvements mentioned and described in Resolutions of <br />Intention Nos. 1940-1 and 1940-2, passed and adopted by the Council of <br />the City of Redwood City on the 6th day of May, 1940, *which Resolutions <br />of Intention are now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City <br />of Redwood City and to which reference is hereby made and the same are <br />made a part hereof, shall be not less than specified as follows: <br />Trade or occupation Per Diem Hourly <br />Wage Wa a Rate <br />Carpenter X10.00 1.25 <br />dement Finisher 10.00 1.25 <br />Engineer (Roller) 12.00 1.50 <br />Laborers 6.00- 0.75 <br />Laborers, Concrete 6.4o 0.80 <br />Mixer Operators (2 sacks or less) 10.00 1.25 <br />Dump Truck Drivers: <br />2 yards or less .7.00 0.87-1/2 <br />yards 7.50 0.93 3/4 <br />yards 8.00 1.00 <br />6 <br />a 8.00 1.00 yards" 8.50 1.o6 1/4 <br />Tractor Drivers: <br />Up to 35 H.P. 8.00 1.00 <br />36 H.P. up to and including 50 H.P. 9.00 1.12 1/2 <br />Over 50 H.P. 12.00 1.50 CC <br />Tractors pulling 2 or more dirt moving <br />equipment 14.00 1.75 <br />Operators of Power Shovels or other <br />excavating equipment 13.33 1.66 2/3 <br />Blade Grade Operators (Finish Work) 12.00 1.50 ` <br />Power Grader, Power Planer, Motor Patrol 12.00 1.50 <br />Oil Distributor Boot Man 6.80 0.85 <br />Work time for Truck Drivers shall be reckoned by the half day and <br />full day. Overtime for Truck Drivers and Tractor Drivers at the rate �* <br />of time and one half after the regular time, regardless of climatic con- <br />ditions. <br />Work time for laborers shall be•reckoned by the half day and full' <br />day. Overtime for laborers at the rate of time and one half for the <br />first four hours, after first eight, and between 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. <br />all time thereafter double time. <br />Work time for all other crafts shall be reckoned by the half day and <br />full day except in case of inclement weather or incompetence when time <br />shall be reckoned by the hour. Overtime for all other crafts to be one <br />and one half times the rates hereinabove described. <br />Overtime for cement finishers double the regular rate. <br />Overtime shall be.reckoned by the hour or half hour except as other- <br />wise noted. <br />Dien ordered to report for work for whom no employment is provided <br />shall be paid for two hourts work at the rate applying to the job. <br />All foremen shall receive $1.00 per day minimum above the highest <br />rate paid laborers over whom they have supervision. <br />The foregoing schedule of per diem wages is based upon a working day �I <br />of eight hours except as otherwise noted. <br />The hourly wage rate prescribed herein above is the per diem rate <br />divided by the aforementioned number of hours constituting a working day. <br />6' <br />t <br />
