L <br />PI <br />The above schedule of wage rates is the general prevailing rate of <br />per diem wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which <br />the work described above is to be performed. <br />Rates for legal holidays, Saturdays and Sundays shall be double the <br />hereinbefore described rates. Holidays falling on Sunday shall be observ- <br />ed on the following Monday. <br />Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, <br />Admission Day, Armistice Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. No work <br />to be done on Labor Day except to preserve life and property." <br />Councilman Christensen submitted printed material concerning Moral Rearmament <br />Sleek, June 1 to 7, and exhibited specimen resolutions passes by super- <br />visors and others and a suggested resolution for municipalities. Some of <br />the councilmen admitted not knowing much about the organization, and no <br />action was taken. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilmen McNulty, second- <br />ed by Councilman Werder. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM: HAS <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 20, 19+0 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />City Clerk <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: L.C. Christensen, <br />H. W. Edmonds, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor H. F. <br />Anderson, and City Clerk B. E. Myers; absent, Councilman E. A. Fletcher. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of May 6 were approved on motion of Council- <br />man Granger, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Ordinance No. 441 regulating the hours of parking about the Court House was <br />unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by <br />Councilman Granger. <br />Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed adoption of <br />•-resolutions accepting tax deeds from the City Tax Collector as indicated <br />below. Carried. Lot 4•, Block B, Boyd and Kent's Addition; Lot 2, Block 2, <br />Homestead Addition No. 2, subdivision of Lots 31 and 32, Reese Sub. <br />11 . <br />
