<br />objections to the proposed work and improvements described in said Resolu-
<br />tion of Intention No. 1940-1, or to the grades at which said work and im-
<br />provements are to be done and made, or to the district assessed for said
<br />work and improvements, could appear before said Council and show cause
<br />why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried out in ac-
<br />cordance with said Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1, or why said work
<br />and improvements should not be carried out and done at the grades as shown
<br />on the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications referred to
<br />in said Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1 and noir on file in the office
<br />of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place aforesaid, when and where any
<br />and all persons having any objections to said work and improvements describ-
<br />ed in said Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1, or having any objections to
<br />the proposed grades at which said work and improvements are to be done and
<br />made, or having any objections to the proposed district to be assessed for
<br />said work and improvements, could appear before the Council of said City
<br />of Redwood City and show cause why said work and improvements should not
<br />be carried out in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 19114-1, or why
<br />said proposed work and improvements should not be carried out and done at
<br />the proposed grades as shown on the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and
<br />specifications referred to in said Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1 and
<br />now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City, or why
<br />said work and improvements should not be assessed against the district describ-
<br />ed in said Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1, by map referred to therein,
<br />which map was approved by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 6th
<br />day of May, 1940, no certain persons appeared and made written objection to
<br />said wort: and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No.
<br />1940-1, or to the extent of the district to be assessed therefor; and
<br />WHEREAS, said Council did proceed to hear and pass upon said written
<br />protests and did resolve and determine that said protests were not made by
<br />one-half of the owners of the property assessed for said work and improve-
<br />ments and said Council did overrule each and all of said protests Land said
<br />Council having acquired jurisdiction to order said work and improvements:
<br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the public interest and convenience re-
<br />quire the work and improvements herein described, and the Council of the
<br />City of Redwood City hereby orders the following work to be done and improve-
