1 <br />In line with the work to be performed under Resolutions of Intention Nos. <br />194o-3 and 1940-4, Councilman Edmonds, seconded by Councilman Christensen, <br />proposed adoption of the following resolution. Carried. <br />'RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that in con- <br />formity with Chapter 90 of the Statutes of 1937 of the State of Calif- <br />ornia, with amendments thereto and other laws, that the minimum compen- <br />sation to be paid for any skilled or unskilled labor for work to be per- <br />formed in the improvements mentioned and described in Resolutions of <br />Intention Nos. 1940-3 and 1940-4, passed and adopted by the Council of <br />the City of Redwood City on the 17th day of June, 1940, which Resolutions <br />of Intention are now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City <br />of Redwood City and to which reference is hereby made and the same are <br />made a part hereof, shall be not less 'Ishan specified as follows: <br />Trade or occupation <br />Carpenter <br />Cement Finisher <br />Engineer (Roller) <br />Laborers <br />Laborers, Concrete <br />Mixer Operators (2 sacks or less) <br />Dump Truck Drivers: <br />2 yards or less <br />3 yards <br />I} yards <br />5 yards <br />6 yards <br />Tractor Drivers: <br />U-0 to 35 H.P. <br />36 H.P. up to and including 50 H.P. <br />Over 50 H.P. <br />Tractors pulling 2 or more dirt moving <br />equipment <br />Operators of Power Shovels or other <br />excavating equipment <br />Blade Grade Operators (Finish Work) <br />Power Grader, Power Planer, Motor Patrol <br />Oil Distributor Bootman <br />Per Diem Wage Hourly Wage Rate <br />10.00 <br />1.25 <br />10.00 <br />1.25 <br />12.00 <br />1.50 <br />6.00 <br />0.75 <br />6.4o <br />0.80 <br />10.00 <br />1.25 <br />7.00 <br />0.87 <br />1/2 <br />7.50 <br />0.93 <br />3/4- <br />8.00 <br />1.00 <br />8.00 <br />1.00 <br />8.50 <br />1.o6 <br />1/4 <br />8.00 <br />1.00 <br />9.00 <br />1.12 <br />1/2 <br />12.00 <br />1.50 <br />14.00 <br />1.75 <br />12.00 <br />1.50 <br />2/3 <br />12.00 <br />1.50 <br />6.8o <br />0.85 <br />Work time for truck drivers shall be reckoned by the half day and <br />full day. Overtime for truck drivers and tractor drivers at the rate of <br />time and one half after the regular time, regardless of climatic conditions. <br />Work time for laborers shall be reckoned by, the half day and full day. <br />Overtime for laborers at the rate of time and one half for the first four <br />hours after first eight, and between 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. all time there- <br />after double time. <br />Work time for all other crafts shall be reckoned by the half day and <br />full day except in case of inclement weather or incompetence when time <br />shall be reckoned by the hour. Overtime for all other crafts to be one <br />and one half times the rates hereinabove described. <br />Overtime for cement finishers double the regular rate. <br />Overtime shall be reckoned by the hour or half hour except as other- <br />wise noted. <br />Men order to report for work for whom no employment is provided shall <br />be paid for two hour's wort: at the rate applying to the job. <br />All foremen shall receive $1.00 per day minimum above the highest rate <br />paid laborers over whom they have supervision. <br />The foregoing schedule of per diem wages is based upon a working day <br />of eight hours except as otherwise noted. <br />
