Authorization given on motion of <br />Councilman Edmonds, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />The Tax Collector submitted letter concerning the offer of V. Palomar to buy <br />Lots 16-17, Block 1, Resub. of Lot 16, W W & M Sub. for $250, down payment <br />$25, balance at $10 a month, interest at 6%. Authorization granted on, <br />motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Werder. <br />Attorney Norman Menifee appeared before the Council and offered $4,000 in cash <br />in full payment of all delinquent taxes and/or special assessments against <br />the following property: Lots 12, 15, 19, 20, in Block A;.Lots 1 to 22 <br />inclusive in Block B; Lots 7 to 10, inclusive in Block C; and Lot 1 in Block <br />D. excepting therefrom that portion of Lot 1 in Block D and that portion <br />of Lot 10 in Block C included within the boundaries of the property con- <br />veyed to Redwood City by deed dated August 30, 1936. All of the above <br />described property in George H. Gerwin's Oak Villa Homestead, being a re- <br />subdivision of Lot No. 3 and Lot No. 5 of Wooster, Whitton, and Montgomery's <br />Subdivision of a portion of Redwood Farm. In view of the cash payment and <br />the recommendation of the City Manager, it was decided to accept Mr. Menifee's <br />offer provided the deal was consummated within thirty days. Vanderborden, Jr., appeared before the Council to protest a condition <br />existing adjacent to his property caused by the keeping of chickens.
