6 <br />1 <br />"RESOLUTION APPROVING DIAGRAM OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT UNDER <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1940-1, AND DESIGNATING NEWSPAPER <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San <br />Mateo, State of California, that the diagram of the assessment district <br />under Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1, passed and adopted by the <br />Council of the City of Redwood City on the 6th day of May, 1940, as said <br />diagram has been prepared by C. L. Dimmitt, Street Superintendent of said <br />City of Redwood City, and submitted this 3rd day of September, 1940, be <br />and the same is hereby adopted as the diagram of the assessment district <br />for the work described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1, which <br />Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1 is now on file in the office of the <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City, and to which reference is hereby made <br />for a description of the work herein referred to; and ° <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of .Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, State of California, that the Redwood City Tribune, <br />a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said City of Red- <br />wood City, be and the same is hereby designated as the newspaper in <br />which to publish the 'Notice of Filing Street Assessment and of Time <br />Fixed for Hearing Thereon" for work done under said Resolution of Inten- <br />tion No. 1940-1 of said Council hereinabove referred to herein.' <br />On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Granger, Tony Thomas <br />was granted permission to keep five cow's off Valota Road with the under- <br />standing; that if the tours became a nuisance that he would have to -seek <br />another location. ' <br />The matter of the parking ordinance was continued to the October 7 meeting and <br />also the matter of a. new street between Vera and Redwood Avenues. <br />In the matter of the sale of Gerwin lots it was ordered that the same be placed <br />on the agenda for the October 7 meeting. <br />The matter of adopting the County Plumbing Ordinance as the city plumbing ord- <br />inance was brought up and the City Attorney reported that he understood <br />that there were several mistakes in the County Ordinance and Mr. Logue <br />stated that he would submit to Mr. Mansfield the corrections that should <br />be made in the County Ordinance so that the ordinance could be ready for <br />the October 7 meeting. <br />On motion of Councilman Christensen; seconded by Councilman McNulty, the fol- <br />lowing resolution was adopted unanimously, Councilman Fletcher having <br />been excused previously. <br />"RESOLVED, THAT WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has become the <br />owner of the real property hereinafter described which was sold for taxes <br />and the deed to said City covering said real property has been recorded; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, in the ,judgment of the Council of the City of Redwood City, <br />" said Council deems it advisable that such property, and each and all of <br />the various pieces thereof, be sold and the sale of the same is hereby <br />authorized: <br />AND SAID COUNCIL FURTHER DETERMINES THAT the minimum amount for which <br />each of said parcels of land shall be sold is the amount set opposite the <br />description of each of said parcels hereinafter set forth and said Council <br />does hereby fix said various and separate amounts as the separate minimum <br />amounts for which each piece of property must be sold. <br />N <br />2=19 <br />
