6 1 "RESOLUTION APPROVING DIAGRAM OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1940-1, AND DESIGNATING NEWSPAPER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, that the diagram of the assessment district under Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1, passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 6th day of May, 1940, as said diagram has been prepared by C. L. Dimmitt, Street Superintendent of said City of Redwood City, and submitted this 3rd day of September, 1940, be and the same is hereby adopted as the diagram of the assessment district for the work described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1, which Resolution of Intention No. 1940-1 is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City, and to which reference is hereby made for a description of the work herein referred to; and ° BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of .Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, that the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said City of Red- wood City, be and the same is hereby designated as the newspaper in which to publish the 'Notice of Filing Street Assessment and of Time Fixed for Hearing Thereon" for work done under said Resolution of Inten- tion No. 1940-1 of said Council hereinabove referred to herein.' On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Granger, Tony Thomas was granted permission to keep five cow's off Valota Road with the under- standing; that if the tours became a nuisance that he would have to -seek another location. ' The matter of the parking ordinance was continued to the October 7 meeting and also the matter of a. new street between Vera and Redwood Avenues. In the matter of the sale of Gerwin lots it was ordered that the same be placed on the agenda for the October 7 meeting. The matter of adopting the County Plumbing Ordinance as the city plumbing ord- inance was brought up and the City Attorney reported that he understood that there were several mistakes in the County Ordinance and Mr. Logue stated that he would submit to Mr. Mansfield the corrections that should be made in the County Ordinance so that the ordinance could be ready for the October 7 meeting. On motion of Councilman Christensen; seconded by Councilman McNulty, the fol- lowing resolution was adopted unanimously, Councilman Fletcher having been excused previously. "RESOLVED, THAT WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has become the owner of the real property hereinafter described which was sold for taxes and the deed to said City covering said real property has been recorded; and WHEREAS, in the ,judgment of the Council of the City of Redwood City, " said Council deems it advisable that such property, and each and all of the various pieces thereof, be sold and the sale of the same is hereby authorized: AND SAID COUNCIL FURTHER DETERMINES THAT the minimum amount for which each of said parcels of land shall be sold is the amount set opposite the description of each of said parcels hereinafter set forth and said Council does hereby fix said various and separate amounts as the separate minimum amounts for which each piece of property must be sold.
