2213 <br />SUBDIVISION OF LOT 23 <br />WOOSTER, WHITTON & MONTGOMERY SUB. <br />(Continued) <br />Lot 4 Block 1 <br />Lot 5 Block 1 <br />NE 1/2 Lot 13 Block 1 <br />SW 1/2 Lot 13 Block 1 <br />Lot 1 Block 2 <br />BE 1/2 Lot 2 Block 2 <br />Lot 3 Block 2 <br />NW 1/2 Lot 4 Block 2 <br />WALLACE SUBDIVISION <br />Lot 21 Block 2 <br />$250 <br />300 <br />200 <br />200 <br />325 <br />150 <br />300 <br />100 <br />300 <br />The various lots and parcels of land described above are shown <br />upon the maps of the various subdivisions named above of record in <br />the Recorder's office of the County of San Mateo, State of California. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City that said property be and the same is hereby ordered sold, at <br />private sale by the City Collector after notice of intended sale shall <br />have been published once a week for three (3) successive weeks in the <br />Redwood City Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation, published <br />in said City of Redwood City, and after a copy of said notice shall <br />have been mailed to the party to whom each of said parcels was assessed <br />on the last assessment roll of said City nearest before the date of <br />sale, postage prepaid and registered, at his last post office address <br />at least twenty-one (21) days before the date of said intended sale. <br />Said notice shall contain the time and place of said intended sale, <br />a description of the property to be sold, sufficient for identification,, <br />the smallest sum which said City will accept for said property, together <br />with a statement that if redemption of said property is not effected <br />according to law, prior to said date of sale, that all right of redemption <br />shall cease. <br />' At the time and place fixed for said intended sale, if no redemption <br />of said property to be sold has been effected according to lair, the City <br />Collector shall sell said property at private sale at the time fixed <br />therefor, or at any time not more than three (3) months thereafter. <br />And. said Council further determines and fixed the time and place <br />for the sale of said property above described to be on the 4th day of <br />October, 1940, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock A.M. of said day at the <br />office of the City Collector in the City Hall on Middlefield Road <br />between Main Street and Jefferson Avenue in said City of Redwood City. <br />Bids for said property shall be either in cash or upon terms and <br />shall be in writing and if upon terms the bidder shall specify the <br />terms upon which he proposes to purchase any of said property advertised <br />that he desires to purchase. All bids upon terms shall be accompanied by <br />at least ten per cent (10;') of the purchase price. Said bids shall be <br />upon such terms and conditions as are acceptable to the Council of the <br />City of Redwood City. <br />All bids shall be delivered to the City Collector either by mail <br />or left at her office between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. on <br />week days and 9:00 A.M. and 12:00 noon on Saturdays. <br />AND BE.IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City shall have the right to reject any or all proposals for the pur- <br />chase of any or all of'said property advertised to be sold. as aforesaid." <br />The City Manager presented a list of lots for a proposed agreement with the <br />County of San Mateo in settlement of county taxes, and on motion of <br />Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman McNulty, and carried, the <br />City Manager was authorized to take the necessary steps in said matter. <br />
