26.. <br />When a request by the City for a quit claim deed was received, Mrs. <br />Pool's son replied by inquiring concerning a possible reduction so that his <br />mother might repossess. . <br />The lot was viewed by the 1915 Committee and appraised at not to ex- <br />ceed $400.00, with a discouraging prospect of immediate sale. <br />Taking into consideration cost of foreclosure and payment of county <br />taxes and also the large amount already paid on this lot by Mrs. Pool, the <br />recommendation unanimously agreed upon, was as set forth in the letter by <br />Mrs. Miramontes.° <br />The Council concurred in the recommendation of the Manager on motion of Councilman <br />McCQxthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />It was decided to authorize the expenditure of $55 for an ad in the annual number of the <br />Real Estate Magazine provided the Chamber of Commerce approved the idea. On motion <br />of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson. (Note. Approved) <br />The City Tax Collector submitted the following letter: <br />110n January 17, 1939, Mayor Christensen and City Manager Dimmitt re- <br />commended that the sum of $500.00 be accepted in settlement of the <br />charges on the following property instead of $569.08 actually due <br />if the total amount was paid in full. <br />The property referred to is Arbitrary Block 376, Lot 9, or legal <br />description Lot 410 S. 6.67 feet of Lot 42, Main Street Lots, <br />assessed to A. J. Hynding, which was sold for delinquent taxes <br />September 9, 1934.
