�— <br />266 <br />the smallest sum which said City will accept for said property, together <br />with a statement that if redemption of said property is not effected <br />according to law, prior to said date of sale, that all right of redemption <br />shall' cease. <br />At the time and place fixed for said intended sale, if no redemption <br />of said property to be sold has been effected according to law that all <br />right of redemption shall cease and the City Collector shall sell said <br />property at private sale at the time fixed therefor, or at any time not <br />more than three (3) months thereafter. <br />And said Council further determines and fixes the time and place <br />for the sale of said property above described to be on the 21st day of <br />February, 1941, at the hour'of 10 o'clock A. M. of said day at the office <br />of the City Collector in the City Hall on Middlefield Road between Main <br />Street and Jefferson Avenue in said City of Redwood City. <br />Bids for, said property shall be either in cash or upon terms and <br />shall be in writing and,if upon terms the bidder shall specify the terms <br />upon which he proposes to purchase any of said property advertised that <br />he desires -to purchase. All bids upon terms shall be accompanied by at <br />least ten per cent (10%) of the purchase price. Said bids shall be upon <br />such terms and conditions as are acceptable to the Council of the City ' <br />of Redwood City. <br />All bids shall"be delivered to the City Collector, either by mail <br />or left at her office between.the hours of 9:00 otclock A. M. and 5:00 <br />o'clock P. M. on week days, and 9:00 o'clock A. M. and 12:00 otclock <br />noon on Saturdays. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City shall have the right to reject any or all proposals for.the.purchase <br />of any or all of said property advertised to be sold as aforesaid.'! <br />On motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, the City <br />Assessor was authorized to release to H. C. Munson, in consideration of <br />the payment of $400, two lots fronting on Redwood Avenue together with <br />two lots in the rear, as said lots are shown upon the tentative map of <br />the proposed subdivision of Lot 51 of the Reese Tract heretofore approved. <br />Councilman Fletcher reported the Insurance Committee had investigated the <br />matter of collision insurance protection on the personal cars of call <br />firemen, and it appeared,'tliat coverage of this type was not available <br />to the city. It was suggested, however, that a retention premium policy <br />could be carried by call firemen in which the city could participate, <br />in the event of an accident while on duty. <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, proposed the adoption <br />of a resolution accepting a tax deed from the City Collector for the <br />following described property.
