G MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 10, 19/1 7:30 P. M. Upon roll call the following were present, Councilmen L. C. Christensen, E. A. Fletcher, F. D. Granger, G.W. McNulty, Mayor H. F. Anderson, and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham; absent, Councilmen H. W. Edmonds and W. M. Werder. Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed the adoption of a resolution accepting a deed from San Mateo County Title Company to a 20 foot strip of land along Chestnut street to be used for the purpose of widening said street, described as follows: Beginning at the point where the northerly line of Broadway extended easterly in a straight line intersects the easterly line of Chestnut Street; thence along said easterly line of Chestnut Street north 290 i21 east 410.40 feet to the southwesterly line of lands belonging to the City of Redwood City,, and known`as the11Municipal Corporation YardTT; thence along said line of Red- wood City lands south 600 481 east 20 feet; thence leaving said line and across Lot 1 as shown on the TTMap of Subdivisions of Sweeny Ranch, near Redwood City, San Mateo CountyTT, filed in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County June 24, 1898, in Book TIC" of Original Maps at Page 36, and parallel to the said easterly line of Chestnut Street south 290 121 west 397.64 feet to a point in the northerly line of Broadway extended easterly in a straight line: thence along said 'easterly extension of the.northerly line of Broadway south 860 401' Z4V west 23' 72:.k'eet� to' the boint-bf .beginning. Being a portion of aforesaid Lot 1 of Sweeny Ranch, and containing 0.18 acres of land. Permission was granted the Chamber of Commerce for use of the Council Chambers on Monday afternoon, February 17, 1941, and Thursday evening, February 20, 1941, on motion of, Councilman McNulty, seconded'by Councilman Fletcher and carried. The City Manager was authorized tc arrange for use of the Council Chambers by the Selective Service Board on a date to be determined, on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Christensen and carried. Councilman Werder entered the meeting. Ordinance 450, "An Ordinance Calling a Special Election -An the City of Redwood City for the Purpose of Submitting to the Electors of Said City Three Propo- sitions of Incurring Bonded Indebtedness of Said City for the Acquisition, G� jT Construction and Completion of Each of the Following Municipal Improvements, To -Wit: (1) Improvement of the Port, .(2) New Recreational Facilities, and f (3) Improvement of Existing Recreational Facilities; Declaring the Estimated Cost of Said Municipal Improvements, and Each Thereof, the Amount of the Principal of'Said Indebtedness to be Incurred for Each Thereof, and the Maxi- mum Rate of Interest to be Paid Thereon; Fixing the Date of Said Election, the Manner of Holding the Same, Establishing Election Precincts and Polling Places for Said Election and Appointing Boards of Election Therefor, and Pro- viding for Notice Thereof," was adopted on motion of Oouncilman Fletcher, ( seconded by Councilman McNulty and on roll call, carried by unanimous vote of the Councilmen present. i, Ad j ournment . /� q Cr CSC/ �La�-y1 . j' CWE:MM C.
