"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that whereas L. M. DUNCAN, the Building Inspector of the said City of Redwood City, did, as required by Ordinance No. 303, post a notice to abate nuisance upon the hereinafter described real property and did send a copy of said notice, so posted, by registered mail, postage prepaid, to the owner of said hereinafter described real property, as said owner is listed upon the books of the City Assessor of said City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, in and by said notice to abate nuisance said Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City did fix Monday the 3rd day of February, 1941, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day at the Council Chamber in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City of Redwood City, as the time and place when the owner of the buildings situated upon said hereinafter described real property could appear and be heard and show cause why said buildings should not be condemned as a public nuisance and abated by reconstructing or properly repairing said buildings or by razing or removing the same; and WHEREAS, said Council did regularly continue said hearing until the 17th day of March, 1941, at 8:00 o'clock P. M.; and WHEREAS, said Council did proceed with said hearing and after con- sidering all objections made and received does determine that due and legal notice of said hearing was given as required by the ordinances of the City of Redwood City as appears from the affidavit of L. M. DUNCAN on file in the office of the City Clerk: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City and said Council does hereby declare the buildings or structures situated upon the hereinafter described real property to be a public nuisance and does hereby direct the owner to abate said nuisance within thirty (30) days from the passage of this resolution, by having said buildings razed or removed, and if said buildings are not so abated by the owner, the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to raze or remove said buildings and that the expenses thereof be made a lien on the lots or parcels of land from which said buildings or structures are removed and which is here-, inafter described. The real property referred to herein upon which the buildings or structures hereinbefore mentioned are to be removed, is described as follows, to -wit: The northwest one-half of Block 26 as shown on the Map_ of Eastern Addition of Redwood City filed November 3rd, 1562, in Book 2 of Miscellaneous Records, page 95, in the Recorder's Office of the County of San Mateo, State of California."
