"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that whereas <br />L. M. DUNCAN, the Building Inspector of the said City of Redwood City, <br />did, as required by Ordinance No. 303, post a notice to abate nuisance <br />upon the hereinafter described real property and did send a copy of <br />said notice, so posted, by registered mail, postage prepaid, to the <br />owner of said hereinafter described real property, as said owner is <br />listed upon the books of the City Assessor of said City of Redwood City; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, in and by said notice to abate nuisance said Building <br />Inspector of the City of Redwood City did fix Monday the 3rd day of <br />February, 1941, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day at the <br />Council Chamber in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City of <br />Redwood City, as the time and place when the owner of the buildings <br />situated upon said hereinafter described real property could appear <br />and be heard and show cause why said buildings should not be condemned <br />as a public nuisance and abated by reconstructing or properly repairing <br />said buildings or by razing or removing the same; and <br />WHEREAS, said Council did regularly continue said hearing until <br />the 17th day of March, 1941, at 8:00 o'clock P. M.; and <br />WHEREAS, said Council did proceed with said hearing and after con- <br />sidering all objections made and received does determine that due and <br />legal notice of said hearing was given as required by the ordinances <br />of the City of Redwood City as appears from the affidavit of L. M. <br />DUNCAN on file in the office of the City Clerk: <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City and said Council does hereby declare the buildings or structures <br />situated upon the hereinafter described real property to be a public <br />nuisance and does hereby direct the owner to abate said nuisance within <br />thirty (30) days from the passage of this resolution, by having said <br />buildings razed or removed, and if said buildings are not so abated <br />by the owner, the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City is <br />hereby ordered and directed to raze or remove said buildings and that <br />the expenses thereof be made a lien on the lots or parcels of land <br />from which said buildings or structures are removed and which is here-, <br />inafter described. The real property referred to herein upon which <br />the buildings or structures hereinbefore mentioned are to be removed, <br />is described as follows, to -wit: <br />The northwest one-half of Block 26 as shown on the Map_ of Eastern <br />Addition of Redwood City filed November 3rd, 1562, in Book 2 of <br />Miscellaneous Records, page 95, in the Recorder's Office of the <br />County of San Mateo, State of California." <br />A <br />286 1 <br />
