That less than two-thirds of all of the votes cast at said special election were in favor of said Propo- sition No. 2, (New Recreational Facilities), and that said Proposition No. 2 failed to carry. That less than two-thirds,of all of the votes cast at said special election were in favor of said Proposition No. 3 (Improvement of Existing Recreational Facilities), and that said Proposition No. 3 failed to carry. That the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City be, and is hereby, in- structed to enter this resolution on the minutes of this Council as a state- ment of the result of said election.", Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, offered for introduction the new zoning ordinance. The following resolution was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Werder seconded by Councilman Fletcher: "RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City that all warrants of the City of Redwood City for the payment of money, excepting those of the Public Library and the Port Commission, when the claims are allowed and approved by the City Council shall be signed by the City Mana- ger and City Clerk -Treasurer of the City of Redwood City. AND BE IT.FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution shall be delivered to such banks as the City may have any of its funds de- posited in." An ordinance of the City of Redwood City authorizing a contract between the City Council and the Board of Administration, California State Employees Retire- ment System, providing for the participation of said subdivision in said State Employees Retirement System and making its employees members of the System was introduced on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Council- man McNulty and carried. ,25
