That less than two-thirds of <br />all of the votes cast at said special election were in favor of said Propo- <br />sition No. 2, (New Recreational Facilities), and that said Proposition No. <br />2 failed to carry. That less than two-thirds,of all of the votes cast at <br />said special election were in favor of said Proposition No. 3 (Improvement <br />of Existing Recreational Facilities), and that said Proposition No. 3 failed <br />to carry. <br />That the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City be, and is hereby, in- <br />structed to enter this resolution on the minutes of this Council as a state- <br />ment of the result of said election.", <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, offered for introduction the <br />new zoning ordinance. <br />The following resolution was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Werder <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher: <br />"RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City that all <br />warrants of the City of Redwood City for the payment of money, excepting <br />those of the Public Library and the Port Commission, when the claims are <br />allowed and approved by the City Council shall be signed by the City Mana- <br />ger and City Clerk -Treasurer of the City of Redwood City. <br />AND BE IT.FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution <br />shall be delivered to such banks as the City may have any of its funds de- <br />posited in." <br />An ordinance of the City of Redwood City authorizing a contract between the City <br />Council and the Board of Administration, California State Employees Retire- <br />ment System, providing for the participation of said subdivision in said <br />State Employees Retirement System and making its employees members of the <br />System was introduced on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Council- <br />man McNulty and carried. <br />,25 <br />
