W <br />1 <br />C. E. Bunyard, 765 Woodside Road, was granted permission to conduct dances <br />on August 23 and 30, on motion of -'Councilman Werder, seconded by Council - <br />pan Christensen, Councilman Fletcher voting "Noll. <br />Application by Anthony P. Perry, 1643 Villa Street,, Mountain View, California, <br />for permit to conduct a duck pin bowlingalley at 27.30 Broadway, was, <br />ordered held over until the next meeting and the City Clerk was directed <br />to ask Mr. Perry to be present at that meeting. <br />Application by Sally Romera•and Dorothy Beraro for permission to conducts <br />restaurant at 22 Woodside Road was held over until the next meeting, as <br />the inspection report of the Health Department was not yet available.. <br />In response to an inquiry by Councilman Granger, the Building Inspector advised <br />that remodeling of the -entrance to a house at 1926 Jefferson Avenue was <br />underway. , <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, City <br />Manager and City Treasurer were authorized to investigate a proposal by <br />Stone & Youngberg Co. for sale of certain securiti.es_owned.by the City <br />a'nd reinvestment in other securities which may produce a higher rate <br />of income and to take whatever action may be advisable. <br />Departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />Approved claims aggregating $22,712.34 were ordered paid on motion of Council- <br />man McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment. <br />CWE:MM <br />C.
