Perry, 1643 Villa Street, Mountain View, California, <br />on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder. In con- <br />nection�wi <br />_.th..the... granting of this permit, the Council reserved the right <br />,... <br />of revocation at. any time. <br />In connection with the proposed franchise for the Redwood City Bus Line, the <br />matter of.writing into the franchise the value thereof if the City de- <br />cided to purchase at a later date was discussed, but it was felt that the <br />City was amply protected by the arbitration clause; and the matter was <br />ordered dropped. <br />On motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, Mf±. <br />R. F. Martin was authorized to make changes in the bus schedule elimina- <br />ting certain evening and early morning runs. <br />Councilman Fletcher, chairman of the committee appointed to enlist the sup- <br />port of San Mateo County Board of Supervisors in obtaining funds neoes- <br />sary for removal of pole lines in the vicinity of the'new airport, re- <br />ported.that the Board of Supervisors had agreed to contribute one-half <br />of the 03,900.00 cost provided the City could arrange for the contribution <br />of the other one-half. Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Chris- <br />tensen, then offered a motion committing the City to the extent of about <br />$1,950.00 for purchase of area.: of land adjacent to the southern boundary <br />ofethe O'Dea property. Motion carried. <br />Ordinance No. 465, "An ordinance regulating the height of fences and walls on <br />or adjacent to lot lines in the City of Redwood City°, was unanimously <br />adopted on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder. <br />Sally Romere. and Dorothy Beraro were granted permit to conduct a restaurant at <br />22 Woodside Road on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Council- <br />man Fletcher. <br />The Clean -Up Committee appointed by the Mayor, submitted a detailed report and <br />urged that immediate action be taken in respect to the following places: <br />1. Property on Main and Spruce Streets, commonly referred to as the <br />"John Meyers" property; recommended that'the building be moved and reno- <br />vated or torn down. <br />2. Planing Mill (Gray-Thorning) at Main and Pine Streets; recommended <br />that it be moved or torn down. <br />Y3"�3 <br />
