After discussion and on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, this matter was referred to the Chamber of Commerce with the recommendation of the Council. There was read a letter from Arnold Rumwell, attorney-at-law, relative to erosion of the creek bank adjacent to property at 407 Oak Street, Redwood City, owned by Clelia Bertini, and advised that the City s would be held responsible for any further damage. City Manager Dim - mitt stated that he would investigate the matter and report at the next. meeting. Plans and specifications.for raising the Yacht Club Building were submitted for approval by the City Eftg nper together with an estimate of the cost amounting to $900.00. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by,Councilman McNulty, plans and specifications were approved and the City Manager authorized to proceed on the basis of the estimated cost. City Attorney Mansfield submitted an ordinance adopting rules and regulations governing the opgrgtion_ of the Yacht Harbor, and it wad. decided that.a copy of this ordinance be submitted to each member of the Council for study before it was introduced. Mr. A. S. Kimberly addressed the Council and pointed out the danger of bicycles being operated at night without reflectors and headlights. On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, Mayor Anderson 'was asked to communicate with the superintendents of the high school and elementary sbhools asking their assistance in controlling this matter. Mr. Kimberly also spoke of the matter of parking signs on the south side of Brewster Avenue and between Arch Street and the exit of the Safe- way parking lot.
