D <br />■ <br />0 <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty, the .City,'Clerk was•directed to ask <br />Mr. Michel to meet with the Council on October 20. <br />$wilding Inspector Duncan reported that plans had been submitted <br />for the Eildrwl-- house on Jefferson Avenue and that work would be <br />started soon. <br />Reports of the Building Inspector and Fire Chief on two houses on <br />Chestnut Street near Hilton owned by Henry Re Lown were read. Mayor <br />Anderson stated that this property had been referred, to, the San Mateo <br />Housing Authority to be included in their plans and, on motion of <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, the City Clerk <br />Jj was directed to ask the Housing Authority to place these two houses <br />first on their lists. <br />City Manager Dimmitt stated that residents had complained,about the <br />condition'of the house at 315 Elwood Streeet and that a letter ad-` <br />3. <br />x <br />i <br />dressed to the owner asking co-operation had not yet been replied to. <br />Reports of the Building Inspector and Fire Chief ,indicated the prop- <br />erty was in a badly rundown condition. ,Councilman Granger then <br />offered :a motion which wasaseconded•by Councilman Fletcher, directing <br />that the water meter be removed from 315 Elwood Street and not to be <br />replaced until the property had been satisfactorily repaired and that <br />replacement should be made only by special order of the Council. <br />Motion carried. <br />Cii�y.--Mager-Dimmitt again reporte d that rubbish, etc., was being <br />cleaned up as rapidly as possible and that other matters referred <br />to in the report would be taken care of by personal interview. <br />The matter of the dilapidated barn•on Main Street between Middle- <br />field Road and Maple Street was discussed and on motion of'Council- <br />man Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, the City Clerk was <br />1. directed to notify the owner thereof that proceedings to abate as <br />a nuisance would be started at the next meeting unless something <br />were done to improve the property by that time. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Granger, the mat- <br />ter of rezoning as,residential property two lots at the southwest <br />corner of Chestnut, Street and Middlefield Road was referred to the <br />Planning Commission. <br />City Manager Dimmitt read his report on the complaint of Mrs. Clelia Ber- <br />tini, 401 Oak Street, relative to damage allegedly caused by erosion <br />K: - <br />I <br />
