1�f notices of, improvement as aforesaid was completed on the 4th day of November, 1941; and WHEREAS, it appears from the affidavit of Bernice Gardner that said Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3 bras duly and regularly published in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday). newspaper published, printed and circulated in said City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3 and the notices of the passage thereof posted as aforesaid, said. Council of the City of Redwood City fixed Monday, the 17th day of November, 1941, at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P.M. of said day at the Council chamber of .the Council of the City of Redwood City in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City, as the day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3, or to the grades at which said work and improvements are to be done'and made, or to the district to be assessed for said work and improvements, could appear before said Council and show cause why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried out and done in accordance with said Resolution of.Int_ention No. 1941-3, or why said work and improvements should not be carried out and, done at the grades as shown on the plans, profiles, and detailed drawings referred to in said Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3 and now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place aforesaid, when and where any and all persons having any objections to. said work and improvements de- scribed in said Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3, or having any objections to the proposed grades at which said work and improvements are to be done and made, or having any objections to the proposed district to be assessed for said work and improvements, could appear before the Council of the City of Redwood City and show cause why said work and improvements should not be carried out and done in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3, or why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried out and done at the proposed grades as shown on the plans, profiles and detailed drawings referred to in said Resolution of .Intention No. 1941-3 and now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City, or why said work and improvements should not be assessed against the district described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3 by map re- ferred to therein, which map was approved by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 20th day of October, 1941, no persons appeared and no objections of any kind were made to said work and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3 or to the extent of the district to be assessed.therefor, or to the grades at which it i.s proposed to do said work and 'matte said improvements; and WHEREAS, said Council having acquired jurisdiction to order said work and improvements: THEREFORE BE IT. RESOLVED that the public interest and convenience require the work and improvements herein described, and the Council of the City of Redwood City hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said City of Redwood City, to -wit: That the northeasterly side of E1 Camino Real be, �• n Manzanita Street and Charter Street and also the southwesterly side of/,amino Real be- tween Lincoln Avenue and Center Street be improved by 'peing-graded and having constructed thereon and tnereihcement concrete sidewalks four;(4) inches thick and five (5) feet wide, said sidewalks to'be laid upon a base or cushion of sand at least two (2) inches in thickness and of the full width of said sidewalks; and that cement concrete combined curbs and gut- ters be constructed within the limits above described on both sides of El Camino Real. There is hereby excepted from the hereinbefore described work and Improvements any parts thereof that is already done.to the line and grade,) as shown on the plans, profiles and specifications mentioned herein. The Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to post a notice of said work and improvements, together with plans, pro- files, detailed drawings and specifications therefor, conspicuously for five days on or near the Council Chamber door of the Council of said City of Redwood City inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and y' making the improvements ordered herein.
