7 388 3 Jno..H. Skeggs, District Engineer, Division of Highways, in.a letter addressed to the. City Manager advised that plans for widening E1 Camino Real from Charter Street to the southerly City limits provided for openings at the intersections of Charter Street, Nottingham Avenue and Dumbarton Avenue, s, F and requested that theCouncilpass an appropriate resolution agreeing to and approving these three openings. Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, offered a resolution approving the above which a was unanimously adopted on roll call vote. A petition with signatures of eleven residents in the Lenolt Tract reques- ting that °D° Street be changed to Magnolia Avenue was referred to the Planning Commission._ On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, City Collector was authorized to refund to Mary Plaine,'926 Hudson Street, the sum of 013.33 representing veterans exemption on current year taxes. This being the time set for public hearing on Resolution of Intention 1941-3, the affidavit of publication, and. affidavits,of H. L. Winter and Tom Stafford of posting notices were ordered filed. 11. Le Meussdorffer addressed the Council and explained that his property on the westerly side of E1 Camino Real provided for parking of three automobiles in the area between the sidewalk and the front of the building, and asked for permission to construct a driveway in excess of the 40 per cent limitation as provided by ordinance. After considerable discussion and on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, it was decided to leave this matter in the hands of the City Manager,to_work out a satisfactory arrangement with Mr. Meussdorffer. There being no protests, oral or written, the following resolu- tion was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman McNulty: °RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK NO. 1941-3 RESOLVED, THAT WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City did on the.20th day of October, 1941, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3 to order the hereinafter described work to be done and improvements to be made in said G`ity of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. 1941-3, headed "Notice of Improvement°, were duly and regularly posted along the line of said contemplated work and improvements and in front of all the property liable to be assessed therefor, and on all of the streets in the district to be assessed therefor, in time, form; manner and number as required by law, as appears from the affi- davit of H. L. Winter and Tom Stafford now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City; and WHEREAS, it appears from the affidavit of said H. L.
