ANDERSON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />On recommendation of the Chamber of Commerce, approval for expenditure <br />of the sum of $50.00 for advertising in the November 7 issue of <br />the I'South San Francisco Enterprise" was granted on motion of <br />Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />City Attorney Mansfield presented an Agreement for renting the upper <br />floor of the Yacht Club Building, and it was decided to hold this <br />matter over until the next meeting. The City Clerk was directed <br />to furnish each member of the Council a copy of this agreement. <br />In connection with the proposed traffic survey, Mayor Anderson explained <br />that informal discussi6ns had••been held but no definite action taken. <br />The matter was then discussed by members of the Council, the City <br />Manager, Chief of Police, and Kenneth L. Bowen of the Redwood City <br />Tribune, and finally on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by <br />Councilman Fletcher, it was decided to extend an invitation to the <br />members of the Board. of Directors, Redwood City Chamber of Commerce, <br />to meet with the City Council, Sergeant of Traffic, and chairman of <br />the Planning Commission, on December 1, 1941, 7:30 P. M,, for the <br />purpose of forming a traffic study committee. <br />There was read, in connection with this matter, a resolution <br />adopted by the Redwood City Lions' Club favoring and suggesting that <br />the City Council arrange for a traffic survey by a commission or <br />through other facilities -that might be available. <br />3 <br />y <br />r <br />0 <br />
