Weiner spoke in connection with his real estate office building on E1 Camino Real near the northerly city limits, and stated the building,would be moved as soon as he could get someone to move it --possibly within the next thirty, days. On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman McNulty, a thirty day extension of time in which to move the building was granted. Recommendations of the Clean -Up Campaign Committee were discussed by City Manager Dimmitt and the Council. In connection with the Lown property at 611 Stam- baugh and 630 Hilton Streets, the City Manager presented reports of -the Health Department indicating the property was -in an Unsanitary condition and in a bad state of disrepair. Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Council- man Werder, then offered a motion directing the City Manager, City Attorney and Building Inspector to proceed with the abatement of these buildings with the understanding, however, that in event abatement proceedings were followed through the City would get credit in its arrangements with,the San Mateo County Housing Authority. Motion carried. Permission was granted Palo Alto Amateur Radio Association for use of the Council Chambers on Friday evening, November 21,.1941, on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. Mayor Aiiderson read a letter from the California Mission Trailb Adan., Ltd., out- lining the activities of the Association and requesting an appropriation of $250.00 for the present fiscal year. It was decided to take no action on this matter and the City Clerk was instructed to inform the Association accordingly. Also read was a letter from Sanford B. Dole, Secretary, Redwood City Library, suggesting that a committee from the Council meet with a committee from the Library Board to discuss the administration of the H. W. Schaberg memorial fund. Councilmen Granger and Christensen were appointed by the Mayor to represent the Council inthis matter. �a The following change in the agreement with A. W. Palm as real estate agent for the City w:.as approved on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen: Monthly salary - $75.00 - no change. Commission on sales =Increase from present 5� s: to 7.56. i Commission on sales made by other.agente - 2`0 - no change. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, the City Col -lector was authorized to execute contracts for sale of real estate as follows: P 4
