410 <br />Letter received from C. L. Dimmitt, Secretary of the Planning CommiBsion <br />of Redwood City, stating that at a meeting of the Commission on De- <br />cember E, it'was duly recommended to the Council that the owner•of <br />a gasoline service station at the corner of E1 Camino Real and Center <br />Street.be.permitted to construct a 30 foot entrance driveway on E1 <br />Camino Real instead of 24 feet as required by,ordinance, the frontage <br />being.60 feet. On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Council- <br />man Christensen, and carried, said permission was granted. <br />Letter received from C. L. Dimmitt, Secretary of the Redwood City•Plan- <br />ning Commission,stating that said Commission at its meeting on <br />December 8 approved and recommended to the City Council that per- <br />mission be granted to Robert Southward, owner, to subdivide a por- <br />tion of Lots 4 and 5 in Block 2 of New High School Acres into two <br />parcels as shown on sketch attached. On motion of Councilman Chris- <br />tensen, seconded by Councilman Werder, and carried, the request was <br />granted. <br />Letter received from C. L. Dimmitt, Secretary of the Redwood City Plan- <br />ning Commission, stating that said Commission at its meeting of <br />December E approved and recommended to the City Council that <br />permission be granted to Jo. E. lehompson, owner; to resubdivide <br />Lots 2, 3, 41 5 and 6 in Block 1 of Central Park into three lots <br />fronting on Grand Street as shown on sketch attached. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, sem nded-by Councilman Christensen <br />and carried, said permission was granted. <br />Letter received from the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce -which was or- <br />dered filed. <br />Letter and request was received from Henry W. Edmonds asking an addi- <br />tional ninety day extension on his leave of absence as a Council- <br />man for the same reasons expressed in previous requests. On motion <br />of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried <br />unanimously, Mr. Edmonds was granted.an additiong.extension of his <br />leave of absence for ninety days from December 20, 1941. <br />Mrs. McKibbens, Mrs. Gladys Gabert, and Mrs. Irene Tackett spoke on the <br />matter of the Library charge for use of the Redwood City Public <br />Library to elementary school children residing outside of Redwood <br />City and requested that such charge be dropped.
