466 <br />99reem,ent for lease of-tYie� upper floor o£.the.Yacht Harbor Club House <br />Building to Sequoia Yacht Club for a period of one year for a <br />monthly rental of $10.00 was approved and the City Manager author- <br />ized to execute the lease for the City, on motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, secondedby Councilman Werder. <br />Councilman Fletcher stated that the desirability of a sub-postoffice in <br />the upper Broadway section of the City had been brought to his <br />attention and offered a motion, which was seconded by Councilman <br />McNulty, directing that a letter be addressed to the Postmaster <br />informing him of the Council's approval and recommendation. <br />Recommendations of the Clean -Up Campaign Committee were discussed and <br />the City Manager was directed to submit'a report on progress at <br />the next meeting. <br />On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman McNulty, contri- <br />bution to the Annual Red Cross in the amount of $75.00 was approved. <br />The following resolutions were adopted on motion of Councilman Fletcher, <br />seconded by Councilman Granger: <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, that <br />the hereunto annexed deed dated the 20th day of September, 1938, <br />and made between NELLE"L.,MIRAMONTES, City Collector (Tax Col- <br />lector), of the City of Redwood City, the party of the first <br />part and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of <br />the State of California, the party of the second part, be and <br />the same is hereby accepted by the City of Redwood City and the <br />Clerk of this Council is hereby ordered to have the same recorded <br />in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo,. <br />State of California. <br />I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was du1.y and <br />regularly passed and adopted by the Council of the City of ed - <br />wood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the first day of <br />November, 1941, by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen, L, C.
