01 <br />"That the streets and Circle hereinbefore mentioned and intersections <br />thereof be graded for their full width and for the lengths mentioned <br />herein and described, and by having constructed on both sides of said <br />streets and Circle and around the park within the intersection of said <br />Nevada Street and Outer Circle, combined cement concrete curbs and <br />gutters, and by constructing between said combined curbs and gutters <br />a four (u") inch stabilized slurry base pavement with as asphaltic <br />armor coat wearing surface; that three (3) hydraulic cement reinforced <br />concrete storm water drop inlet catch basins with cast iron frames and <br />gratings be constructed; two (2) of said drop -inlet catch basins to be <br />constructed one on each side of Nevada Street between James Avenue and <br />Katherine Street; and one (1) of said drop inlet catch basins to be <br />constructed on the southeast side of Katherine Street 15 feet north- <br />easterly from the northeast line of Nevada Street, said three (3) drop <br />inlet catch basins to be connected by a circular twelve (1211) inch <br />cement concrete pipe drain one hundred and fifty four (154) feet in <br />length, as prepared by C. L. Dimmitt, City Engineer of said City of <br />Redwood City and submitted this 15th day of May, 1939, be and the same <br />are hereby adopted as and for the plans, profiles, detailed drawings <br />and specifications for said work and improvements described herein. <br />AND WHEREAS, said City Engineer has submitted and filed with said plans, <br />profiles, detailed drawings and specifications, a map or plat showing <br />the assessment district of lands benefited by the work and improvements <br />herein described, which map or plat is entitled "Map Showing Assessment <br />District under Resolution of Intention No. 1939-411• <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Redwood City that the map or plat showing the assessment district <br />benefited by the work and improvements herein described, which map or <br />plat is entitled "Map Showing Assessment District Under Resolution of <br />Intention No. 1939-411 be and the same is hereby adopted and approved <br />and said Council does hereby determine and declare that the foregoing <br />described work and improvements are of more than local or ordinary <br />public benefit and will affect and benefit the lands and district shown <br />on the hereinbefore mentioned map or plat, which district described and <br />shown on said hereinbefore mentioned map or plat said Council hereby <br />declares to be the district benefited by said work and improvements; <br />and said Council further determines and declares that the entire costs <br />and expenses of said work and improvements shall be assessed upon said <br />lands and district shown on said map or plat herein mentioned, which <br />district is within the limits of the City of Redwood City, County of <br />San Mateo, State of California. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the width of those portions of Nevada <br />Street, Katherine Street and Outer Circle hereinbefore mentioned, and <br />the width of the roadways thereof and the width of the sidewalks thereof <br />are to be and are as shown on the plans, profiles and tailed drawings <br />ad6pted by this resolution." <br />On motion of Councilman'McNulty, seconded by Councilman Anderson, there was adopted the <br />following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 193Q-4 <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that in the opinion <br />of said Council the public interest and convenience require and that it <br />is the intention of said Council to order the following work to be done <br />and improvements to be made in said City of Redwood City, to -wit: <br />That a portion of Nevada Street from the end of the existing macadam <br />pavement near the southeasterly line of Brewster Avenue to the end of <br />the existing cement concrete pavement near the northerly line of James <br />Avenue (formerly Hillside Avenue) including the intersections of said <br />Nevada Street with Outer Circle and said Nevada Street with Katherine <br />Street; and that a portion of Outer Circle from the end of the existing <br />macadam pavement near the southeasterly line of Southgate to the south- <br />westerly line of Nevada Street including the intersection of said Outer <br />Circle with Nevada Street; and also that a portion of Katherine Street <br />from the end of the existing cement concrete pavement near the south- <br />westerly line of Myrtle Street to the northeasterly line of Nevada <br />Street including the intersection of said Katherine Street with Nevada <br />Street, be improved as follows, to -wit: <br />F <br />Q <br />
