468 <br />be maintained at some point between the Jefferson Avenue and Maple <br />Street crossings for protection of these crossings during periods <br />of extensive switching operations and peak vehicular traffic was <br />approved on motion of Councilman Werder seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi. The matter of the Rogers Street crossing was discus- <br />sed and ordered placed on the Agenda for the next meeting. <br />Redwood City Bus Line request for permission to change expiration time <br />limit on 14 ride commutation -tickets from 30 days to 15 days was <br />approved on motion of Councilman Britschgi seconded by•Councilman <br />Anderson. <br />Proceedings to abate old building at 897 Redwood Avenue were continued <br />until the next meeting as requested by Williams Evans, owner of <br />the property, by motion of Councilman Werder seconded by Council- <br />man Britschgi. <br />Planning Commission. To fill the vacancy on the Planning Commisiion <br />due to expiration of term of C. M. Doxsee, Councilman Fletcher <br />proposed the appointment of John Nordstrand and Councilman <br />Britschgi nominated Mark Larwood. Following motion by Councilman <br />Werder seconded by Councilman Hilton, nominations were closed and <br />on roll call vote, Mark Larwood was appointed a member of the <br />Planning Commission for a six year term expiring June 8, 1948. <br />This being the date set for hearing on assessments levied under Reso- <br />lution o ention No. 1941-43 and there being no protests, oral <br />or written, affidavits of publication, mailing and posting of <br />notices were ordered filed by motion of Councilman Britschgi sec- <br />onded by Councilman Werder. <br />Resolution confirming street assessment ho. 1941-43 was then un- <br />animously adopted on motion of Councilman McNulty seconded by <br />Councilman Anderson. <br />Civilian Defense Ordinance was continued until the next meeting. <br />Ordinance fixing amount of salary or compensation for certain offices <br />and positions was introduced on motion of Councilman Fletcher sec- <br />onded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Ordinance fixing the amount of bonus for certain offices and positions <br />for the fiscal year 1942-43 was introduced on motion of Council- <br />man Werder seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />Appointment of Walter Huggins and Reverend Schuyler Pratt as members of <br />the "Advisory,Boardlt as provided by Ordinance No. 459 (Regulating <br />0 <br />n <br />3C)�i <br />
