ri I <br />0 <br />4 <br />Moving Picture Shows) was unanimously approved on motion of Council- <br />man Anderson seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Vincent Guida was granted license.to conduct a resturant at 2732 Broadway <br />on motion of Councilman Werder seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />Resolution authorizing the Committee of the Peninsula Division of the <br />League of California Cities to represent the City of Redwood City <br />in its efforts to secure for the Municipalities an equitable appor- <br />tionment of State Gasoline Taxes received by the County of San <br />Mateo was unanimously adopted on -notion of Councilman Fletcher'sec- <br />onded by Councilman McNulty. <br />The City Manager reported he was still negotiating with the County of <br />San Mateo relative to street lighting along E1 Camino Real. <br />Complaint about the use of a residence in the 200 block of Elwood <br />Street as a distribution station for a co-operative buying agency <br />was reported by Attorney McCarthy and on motion of Councilman <br />Anderson seconded by Councilman McNulty the City Clerk was direct- <br />ed'to inform the operators of the orgainzation that it appeared <br />to constitute a business, conducted in violation of City ordinance <br />and therefore must be discontinued. <br />Removal of arterial stop�si�gns.at the intersection dS Spring and Chestnut <br />Streets was, on motion of Councilman Anderson seconded by Councilman <br />McNulty, referred to the Traffic Study Committee. <br />Also referred to the Traffic Study Committee, by motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher seconded by -Councilman Hilton, was the matter of placing <br />arterial stop signs at the intersection of James and Grand Streets. <br />Departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />Approved claims Nos. 1560 to 1639'inclusive;.aggregating $33.9537.86 <br />were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment. <br />CWE:ES <br />I <br />C.
