<br />°RESOLVED, THAT WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Redwood
<br />'s
<br />City did, on the 15th day of May, 1939, pass and adopt Resolution
<br />of Intention No. 1939-4 to order the hereinafter described•work
<br />to be done and improvements to be made in said City of Redwood
<br />�o

<br />WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution -of Inten-
<br />tion No. 1939-4, headed "NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT", were duly And
<br />;.
<br />regularly posted along the line of said contemplated trork and im-
<br />provements and in front of all the property liable to be assessed
<br />therefor, and on all of the streets in the district to be assessed
<br />;
<br />therefor, in time, form, manner and number as required by law, as
<br />appears from the affidavits of C. L. Dimmitt, Superintendent of
<br />Streets of the City of Redwood City, and Lisle Winter, and now on
<br />file in the office of the Clerk of said city; and
<br />WHEREAS, it appears from the affidavits of said C.L.Dimmitt
<br />and Lisle Minter, hereinbefore referred to herein, that the post-
<br />ing of said notices of improvement as aforesaid was completed on
<br />the 29th day of May, 1939; and
<br />WHEREAS, it' appears from the affidavit of Bernice Gardner that
<br />said Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4 was duly and regularly pub-
<br />lished in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) news-
<br />paper published, printed and circulated in said City of Redwood
<br />City; and
<br />WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4 and
<br />the notices of the passage thereof posted as aforesaid, said Council
<br />of the City of Redwood City fixed Monday, the 19th day of June, 1939,

<br />at the hour of 9:00 o'clock P.M. of said day at the Council Chamber
<br />of the Council of the City of Redwood City in the City Hall on
<br />Middlefield Road in said city, as the day, hour and place when and
<br />where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work
<br />and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No.1939-4,
<br />or to the grades at which said work and improvements are to be done
<br />and made, or to the district assessed for said work and improve-
<br />ments, could appear before said Council and shout cause why said pro-
<br />posed work and improvements should not be carried out in accordance
<br />4
<br />with said Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4, or why said work and
<br />improvements should not be carried out and done at the grades as
<br />shown on the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications
<br />referred to in said Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4 and now on
<br />file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place aforesaid, when and where
<br />any and all persons having any objections to said work and improve-
<br />ments described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4, or hav-
<br />ing any objections to the proposed grades at which said work and
<br />improvements are to be done and made, or having any objections to
<br />the proposed district to be assessed for said work and improvements,
<br />could appear before the Council of said City of Redwood City and
<br />show cause why said work and improvements should not be carried out
<br />in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4, or why said
<br />proposed work and improvements should not be carried out and done
<br />at the proposed grades as shown on the plans, profiles, detailed
<br />drawings and specifications referred to in said Resolution of In-
<br />tention No. 1939-4 and now on file in the office of the Clerk of
<br />said City of Redwood City, or why said work and improvements should
<br />not be assessed against the district described in said Resolution
<br />of Intention Ido. 19394, by map referred to therein, which map was
<br />approved by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 15th day
<br />of May, 1939, no persons appeared and no written objections, or
<br />other objections of any kind, were made to the work and Improve-
<br />ments described in said Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4, or to
<br />the extent of the district to be assessed therefor, and
<br />WHEREAS) said Council having acquired jurisdiction to order
<br />said work and improvements,
<br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the public interest and conven-
<br />ience require the work and improvements herein described, and the
<br />Council of the City of Redwood City hereby orders the following
<br />work to be done and improvements to be made in said City of Red-
<br />wood City, to -wit:
